The incoming Trump team still hasn’t signed the formal agreements needed to trigger an official presidential transition, the White House said Thursday.
President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team has not yet signed off on two formal documents that would give his staff access to government services and information, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters.
The two agreements with the General Services Administration and the White House would give Trump’s team access to federal facilities, information technology services, documents and briefings from administration officials. The Kamala Harris campaign had signed onto the agreements, but the Trump team has yet to do so, a delay that transition experts warn could impede the smooth transition of power.
“The Trump-Vance transition team has not yet entered into the agreements with the White House and the General Services Administration,” Jean-Pierre said Thursday.
