President Joe Biden will nominate three Federal Energy Regulatory Commission members Thursday afternoon.
The picks will comprise Democratic nominees Judy Chang and David Rosner along with Republican Lindsay See, according to a source familiar with the announcement who was granted anonymity to speak candidly.
If confirmed, the nominees would fill out a five-member commission that has long been shorthanded and is currently down to three members.
Rosner has worked since 2017 as an energy industry analyst in FERC’s Office of Energy Policy and Innovation, and has been assigned since 2022 to West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin’s Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Detailees are employees who serve temporary assignments elsewhere in the government to offer specialized expertise.
