Former President Donald Trump’s team isn’t yet accepting federal resources for its transition operation, a move that’s troubling good-government advocates.

The former president’s team has not yet entered into a formal agreement with government officials that would allow Trump’s transition team to access federal transition services or office space. Vice President Kamala Harris’ transition operation reached such an agreement with the government Sept. 19.

“We believe it’s going to be a real problem for the Trump team” if they don’t finalize a formal memorandum of understanding with the General Services Administration, Max Stier, president and CEO of the nonpartisan Partnership for Public Service, told reporters Monday.

“So much of what they will need in order to be prepared to run our government depends upon having access to information and resources that are dependent upon that MOU,” Stier said.
