President Donald Trump is terminating diversity programs across the federal government and pushing out the staff who lead those efforts.

The Office of Personnel Management released guidance Tuesday to agencies laying out steps to close their diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, or DEIA, offices. The move comes in response to an executive order Trump signed on his first day in office to end such programs.

The cuts could affect at least nine positions at EPA, the Interior Department and the Energy Department, according to government websites and budget documents.
