Former President Donald Trump has picked Linda McMahon, who led the Small Business Administration during his administration, and Howard Lutnick, chair and CEO of financial services giant Cantor Fitzgerald, as co-chairs of his transition team.
In addition, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), Trump’s vice presidential running mate, along with the ex-president’s two adult sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, are honorary chairs of the transition effort, formed as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization named Trump Vance 2025 Transition Inc.
Forming the transition team is a crucial requirement for a party nominee, and Trump had been under pressure to name his operation’s leaders.
Trump said in a statement that the Republican Party’s 2024 platform is “a forward-looking agenda that will deliver safety, prosperity and freedom for the American people.”
