President-elect Donald Trump’s point people for overhauling the government say they’ll rely on a “lean team” of political appointees and artificial intelligence to find “illicit regulations” that Trump can unilaterally suspend.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk and pharmaceuticals entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy outlined in a Wall Street Journal op-ed Wednesday how they would conduct “mass head-count reductions” at federal agencies.

To slash regulations, they plan to embed lawyers throughout the government who would be “aided by advanced technology” to uncover rules that are prime candidates for repeal.

“Our North Star for reform will be the U.S. Constitution, with a focus on two critical Supreme Court rulings issued during President Biden’s tenure,” wrote Musk and Ramaswamy, whom Trump tapped to co-lead a new Department of Government Efficiency.
