A longtime National Park Service employee has been promoted to be the superintendent of Rock Creek Park, the sprawling park in the nation’s capital.
Brian Joyner has been with the agency for over 20 years.
Most recently, he served as the deputy superintendent of Rock Creek Park. He began his career at the NPS headquarters as a writer and editor.
Joyner also served as an NPS Bevinetto fellow, where he worked on the staff of the House Natural Resources Committee and then worked as chief of staff at the National Mall and Memorial Parks.
