Missouri Republican Rep. Eric Burlison is taking the gavel of a House subcommittee with authority over energy and environmental policy.

Burlison, first elected in 2022, will chair the House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy and Regulatory Affairs.

He succeeds Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Texas), who led the panel in 2023 and 2024. Fallon still sits on Oversight but cannot have a subcommittee leadership role because of a new position on the Intelligence Committee.
