Mark Carney is ready to launch his campaign to replace Justin Trudeau as Liberal leader and prime minister of Canada.

Carney, a banker comfortable with the Davos set, showed up on “The Daily Show” Monday night, casting himself as an “outsider.”

Carney, who has served as governor of central banks in Canada and the U.K., tested his comedic chops, serving up an extended bit about breaking up with Jon Stewart — a metaphor for America amid a potential trade war.
