The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee is planning to vote next week on President Joe Biden’s three nominees for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
The Tuesday vote will be the first real test of Senate support for Democrats David Rosner and Judy Chang and Republican Lindsay See, who were nominated by Biden in February.
Thus far, the trio have enjoyed relatively smooth sailing in the committee chaired by Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.). A March hearing did not elicit strong opposition from Republicans or Democrats.
The markup of the nominations comes in the wake of FERC’s landmark transmission planning rule that was finalized earlier this month.
