Two EPA attorneys over the past week have jumped from the public sector to Holland & Knight, a Florida-headquartered firm specializing in government law.
James McGuire, formerly regional counsel for EPA’s Region 6, landed a new job as partner of the firm’s policy and regulation group in Dallas, according to a Tuesday news release.
McGuire joined EPA’s southern region in 2020 after nearly a decade with the city of Dallas, where he led environmental quality and sustainability efforts.

McGuire said in a statement he is “excited” to join the firm and is “confident we are well on the way to building the market-leading environmental law practice in Texas.”
