One of the nation’s top trade associations for oil and natural gas producers is laying out its vision for how Congress can support a fossil fuel production boom during the upcoming Trump administration.
American Exploration and Production Council (AXPC) president and CEO Anne Bradbury sent a letter on Monday to House and Senate leadership outlining solutions to issues facing the fossil fuel industry, including what do with the Inflation Reduction Act’s methane fee and how to move forward on permitting.
“Energy shouldn’t be political — nearly every American president of both parties has sought greater energy independence because it’s essential to every American’s quality of life, our collective national security, and a more sustainable future,” the letter read.
“We should focus on how to develop our resources responsibly to unlock American energy through durable policy solutions not just for the next two years but for decades to come.”
