A former top environmental lawyer at the Department of Defense has joined Beveridge & Diamond, the firm announced Friday.
Taylor Ferrell, who most recently was DOD’s deputy general counsel for environment, energy and installations, transitioned to an attorney role at Beveridge & Diamond last month. Since January 2021, Ferrell had been DOD’s leading legal adviser on energy and environment issues.
In their hiring announcement, the environmental firm commended Ferrell’s record litigating compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act and PFAS cleanup cases.
“We are thrilled to welcome Taylor to B&D,” Kathy Szmuszkovicz, Beveridge & Diamond’s chair, said in a release Friday. “His extensive government experience and understanding of environmental law and policy will be invaluable to our clients as they navigate complex and evolving regulatory and project development landscapes.”
