TALLAHASSEE, Florida — Voters statewide on Tuesday approved a ballot measure that will enshrine hunting and fishing rights in the Florida Constitution, the Associated Press projected.

The measure had 67 percent in support with an estimated 87 percent of the vote in. Amendments must receive 60 percent of voter approval statewide to put the language in the Constitution.

The Legislature placed the measure on the ballot with unanimous approval by the House and a 38-1 vote in the Senate.
