EPA pick Zeldin targeted in threats against Trump’s Cabinet

The ex-congressman, who was targeted with “a pipe bomb threat,” was not the only pick to receive threats last week.

Lee Zeldin, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to be the next EPA administrator, said he was targeted in a sweep of threats against the incoming administration’s Cabinet lineup.

“A pipe bomb threat targeting me and my family at our home today was sent in with a pro-Palestinian themed message,” Zeldin said on social media last week. “My family and I were not home at the time and are safe.”

The former New York Republican congressman added he is working with law enforcement to learn more about the incident.

“We are thankful for the swift actions taken by local officers to keep our family, neighbors, and local community secure,” he said.
