Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Wednesday muscled through three separate resolutions that would overturn contentious EPA regulations.
The full committee also approved a bipartisan bill to mandate AM radios in new vehicles.
The three Congressional Review Act resolutions, which would eliminate Biden administration rules and prevent similar rulemakings in the future, specifically targeted EPA’s power plant, particulate matter and heavy-duty vehicle tailpipe rules.
Repealing all three rules, Republicans said, is critical to ensuring that grid operators can keep the lights on going forward and preserve consumer choice in the auto industry.
