NEW YORK — A bipartisan coalition of lawmakers gathered Tuesday on Staten Island in renewed opposition to congestion pricing, rejecting Gov. Kathy Hochul’s planned revival as unfair to commuters.

State Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, a Democrat, and U.S. Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, a Republican, joined colleagues in both parties to slam the plan to charge motorists entering parts of Manhattan — a project Hochul paused in June but is about to implement.

Their latest show of resistance comes as POLITICO reported that the Democratic governor is considering lowering the toll to $9 from $15 in hopes of a Biden administration green light before Donald Trump takes office.
