Kimberly Patrick, the top career official in EPA’s mission support office, will be leading the agency as the Trump administration arrives Monday.
Patrick is named as “Administrator” in an internal email obtained by POLITICO’s E&E News that details EPA’s transition leadership for the changeover in presidents. She, along with other career executives, will be in charge of the agency’s program offices and regional branches as they wait for President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees to be either appointed or confirmed.
Patrick is the principal deputy assistant administrator for mission support at EPA. Her program office handles the agency’s human resources and information technology as well as manages its contracts and grants.
Patrick, a Washington native, joined EPA in 1996 and has been a Senior Executive Service member there since 2015.
