Wisconsin Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin said Thursday she would support President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Transportation, signaling a potentially smooth path to confirmation.

The proposed nominee, Sean Duffy, served in the House from 2011 to 2019, representing Wisconsin. The Republican currently hosts a show on Fox Business.

Baldwin endorsed the fellow Wisconsinite in a statement Thursday, saying that she considers nominees “through the lens of ‘will you be good for Wisconsin.’”
