The House Energy and Commerce Committee will consider legislation Wednesday targeting some of EPA’s most ambitious environmental regulations, along with legislation mandating AM radios in new cars.
The markup is part of a flurry of activity from House Republicans targeting Biden administration environmental policies, including floor votes this week on bills against environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing.
“The Energy and Commerce Committee is continuing its work to deliver solutions and make life better for the American people,” said Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.). “At this week’s markup, we will consider … legislation to repeal harmful regulations that are jeopardizing America’s economic and energy security.”
On the agenda are several Congressional Review Act resolutions. If passed, they would eliminate administration rules and prevent similar rulemakings in the future.
