Former President Donald Trump unleashed a torrent of criticism Thursday against his new campaign rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, including attacks on her energy and climate policies and on her intelligence.
In a wide-ranging press conference at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, the former president offered a preview of his campaign against Harris and her new running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, including attacks on policies to promote electric vehicles.
If Harris wins the presidency, “you’re going to have fuel prices go through the roof,” Trump said.
“Everybody’s going to be forced to buy an electric car, which they’re not going to do, because they don’t want that,” Trump said. “People want gasoline-propelled cars. They want hybrids. They want to have everything, and they want electric.”
