House Republican appropriators will release their fiscal 2025 Interior-Environment and Energy-Water bills this week as they move ahead with plans to pass several other measures on the floor.

Action in committee and in the full House will shed new light on the GOP’s vision to slash environmental spending and target President Joe Biden’s agenda during an election year.

House Republican appropriators have indicated they will use their fiscal 2025 bills to stake out a conservative negotiating position with the Democratic-controlled Senate, and they have already advanced a number of measures designed to cut funding for federal climate and diversity programs.
