'Difficult' rules will consider GHGs from land use -- EPA

ARLINGTON, Va. -- U.S. EPA will release biofuel regulations today that consider international land use when measuring the fuels' greenhouse gas emissions, the agency's top air official said. Assistant Administrator Gina McCarthy spoke to a gathering of EPA advisers here ahead of a planned White House rollout of the government's biofuel strategy later today. The Obama administration plan seeks to boost development of biofuels and consider their effects on the environment. Go to story #1
